I'm glad to see that ol' Jack Daniels (JD) still has some lions left in his area and that there are a few hunters with the money to come kil them. Tell him ol' Ike said hello and I hope all is going well for him....

When I was up there hunting with JD I asked him what the JD stood for since it doesn't stand for his name. He smiled and said the JD was short for Jack Daniels................ It's like the name Ike, doesn't have much to do with me but I picked it up for the Internet when I picked up that redbone I named Ike. The damn was a Texas redbone but the sire was out of Missouri, and Hoffmeister pup from Red Bomber. I wanted to name that redbone something that tied back to a Missouri redbone and it so happens my grandfather's name was Ike, and he was most likely born, raised and died in Missouri.................. So how did you come up with Bluedogman??? LOLs........... ike

I remember when you went up. I knew his real name was not "JD" or anything like that but I didn't know how he came about it. That's original enough!
Some years back 'JD" asked on CC for someone to post pictures for him saying that he didn't want to be bothered with it. I was one of several that offered and he accepted MY offer. At first he would ask me to please post the pictures if I would but I told him he didn't have to ask first, to just send the pictures and I would take care of the rest.
I knew the name "Ike" came from your hound but I'd never before heard you say how you came up with it. That's very interesting.
"Bluedogman" was just a handle to use on ole CC since everyone else was using handles there. As I remember, I first posted as Johnny and later changed to "Bluedogman". It was just something to use to identify myself as a "blue dog person", a fancier of the Bluetick Coonhound.

JD seemed like one hell of a nice guy, and was fun to hunt with. As you probably know, many of the turds on CC and other boards pretty much put a sower taste in my mouth for hound hunters, or at least many of the ones that visit these boards and hide behind a computer scene. And that's kinda sad that there are or were so many jealous wannabes out there Johnny.......
It's always been my thoughts that if a person wanted more, or was jealous of others they should get out and try to change what they've got going on rather than rag on others. However, I'm sure it's easier for most of them to pound on a key board than make a hound.........
keep'em treed, ike

He seems to be from the little I know of him. Seems to be the kind of person I'd like to meet. He told me once that he had had a Georgia man up to hunt. On occasion he would mention things about his own dogs and the dogs of others and some idle conversation but it was mostly about posting pictures. I hadn't heard from him in a while before he sent the last pictures.
Yes, it is too bad we have people like that on message boards. I agree with your assessment of them. I always enjoyed your posting about hunting and pictures and still do.
