Sarah got a hair piece for cheer and it is totally the wrong color. The people at the salon where Niki ordered them are total jerks and won't redo any of them. They gave Niki a color guide to match and they made the foney poney's of that. There are three that are totally off. The cheer coordinator is going to dye the ones that are too light. Sarah's is strawberry blonde and her hair is light brown. Can you suggest any TEMPORARY product that will lighten her hair to strawberry color?? I figure if I can put highlights in her hair and darken the hair piece with light brown, maybe I can make it match.
I went to cosmotology school, but never went to take my state board cuz COLORS SCARE ME!! Yes, Johnny, I admited that something scares me!!! Chemicals freak me out.

i am sorry that those people are being jerks! They should have done a better consultation than just giving her a color chart, geez! i really cant advise you one way or the other until i see the hair piece, and tell your coach or whoever is going to try and dye them to hold off,im not sure what the texture of the hair is or if it is human or im sorry to say,ox tail,or another animal. most of them are made with half and half. but send me a picture and i ll help you the best of my ability. id they make them in the salon or did they send off for it?
colors shouldnt scare you! all you have to remeber is the color wheel, warm and cool colors! i ve been doing hair for a while now,i love it,but trust me there are days that are awful! this man told me yesteray that i looked like reness zellweger, only the fatter version,! ha ha ha ha sigh, but send a pic and i ll help ya...

I believe the hair pieces are synthetic. I saw one yesterday. To top it off, they are smaller than pinky size ringlets!!! AAARRRRGGG!!! Now they are all gonna look like they are half black!!! LOL

OHHHHH!! My Senior Section I was doing a perm on one of my regular clients. I mean, I had been working on this lady for a really really long time, almost since I got out on the floor. She had course hair. I backed off the perm rods a turn and a half and blocked the rubber bands with picks. I still ended up breaking off most of her hair on the top of her head!!!! I mean, you go to check a perm rod and it comes off in your hand . . . that can be a tad bit un nerving!!!!! She was great about it and still was a regular, but I wanted to die!!! Then their was the time I colored Niki's hair and she ended up looking like a leapard!!! It was the night before I went into the hospital with BP of 210/105!! I was PG with Sarah and having pre-eclampsia.(?) I just don't like chemicals!!! I will color my own hair, but that is about it!!! I did Ken's with that stuff "For Men Only" but it was easy. I have highlighted the girls since then, but I figure they are mine so if I have to shave their heads . . . . . LOL

it wasnt your fault, lol. People have a tendancy to not be honest about what they are usuing on there hair. She probly, if it was course, had used over the counter hair dye, which has metallic salts in it,so when used with a chemical like a perm solution,it just broke the hair off. So be careful permin kens head,i d hate for him to lose his hair, since for the men only stuff is highly concentrated with metallic salts, lol, J/K an that brings me to another point of dyin the hair piece,be careful that it wont burn off,i have no idea what was used to make it or how ,do you guys have like a beauty supply near your house that sells to the public also?we have one here, go in there an take the peice or see if they have something that is alreay made and you can use, i wouldnt be thrilled on the curly stuff myself, they are supposed to look natural,as an extension. or online would be good. thats about all ican tell ya,i wouldnt be so quick to try an color her hair just yet, strwberry blonde from the level she is wouldnt be har,but it would also be taking it up about four levels, depening on how lite she needs it,but look around first.
I tell ya whut,on my way to work today i ll swing by the beauty store and see what they have already made, and let ya know tonight, might be late when i get in,but i ll write ya later.
