Well, no pics to post!!! On Saturday the dogs lit out on a hot track. Followed them to where they were treed, saw the bear in the tree. Ken kicked the rest of the dogs outta the box (we only had 3 in on the initial race) and started to the tree. The bear came down and off they went in a mass of rolling dogs and bear. Tracked em all day long and kept beeping them in the area of the caves. Ken and George went to the cave and sure enough, two of the dogs were outside the big cave (old mine shaft). He waited for the rest of the guys to get there and they went in.
The water inside was knee deep and they found all but 2 dogs near the enterance. They got sticks to poke into the water and look for deep holes and in they went. They eventually found the two dogs just on the other side of a really deep hole. I guess they didn't notice when they were chasing the bear in. They wouldn't come out. Ken scaled along the wall and grabbed the dots and tossed em over the hole. They got em all back with minimum injuries. Couple of em were limping, but no stitches or anything.
Sunday they turned out and all but three dogs took off after a deer! The other three were on a bear track. The ones that were chasing deer got a lesson and they tracked all over looking for the three running the bear (2 of Gene's and our Annie) Ken had to come home to leave for work last night and George went back up in his own truck to find Annie. Havent heard anything yet. Hope they find her soon.
