Ken and I got up at 4 am Saturday morning to drive to the camp site. We got there in time to let the dogs out to potty and collar them up and get moving. They struck pretty quick and we turned out the lead dogs to find a track. They were going pretty strong so we turned out the rest of the dogs. We saw them once while they crossed a road where we were waiting for them. They went a couple of canyons over and treed. It was really foggy and we thought we found em. They guys went down, but as the fog lifted it was obvious that they were over the ridge in the next draw. They guys climbed out, (It was really steap) and we headed around the ridge and the guys found them pretty easily.

It was pretty late after they finally got the dogs all back to the trucks, so we called it a day and went back to camp for a nap and dinner. George brought Sarah up after her game and they got there in time for some killer tri-tip, fried taters and beans. They brought Sammie with them cuz we didn't want to leave him home alone. Then it was bed time.
We got up at around 5:30 and started out again. Poor Sammie!! When those dogs started blowing up on the box, he thought he was breakfast!! LOL
First track they started was just too cold and we spent a little while trying to get all the dogs gathered up again. They started a track that they thought was pretty good and Radar went treed first! They treed another darn fisher!!! The trip to them was pretty steep, so again I stayed at the truck with Sammie and the puppies. I wish I had new knees! Anyway, Sarah went tot he tree and helped her dad with the dogs. She did a good job bringing out Sissy. We loaded up again and made another pass and got a really good strike. It was almost time for us to leave so Ken could get back to work, but the other dogs treed pretty close, so Ken turned ours out as well. They had a bear this time. Tom, a friend of the group took the bear. He was little, but was good training for the pups and younger dogs.
