Thanks girls! Sure is a beauty! The best view of one we have ever had. Stood right there and looked at Marianna while she got the pic. Quite a capture! They seem to pose for her. Cat food has it in good shape looks like. Hasn't carried off any of the kitties so far.

That is absolutly beautiful!!! We got one in a live trap once and it was much shorter and very scruffy! It was one mean sucker!!

I think it may be a Foxy Lady! The females are larger than the males.

I don't remember the neck being that long either, but it was in a live trap hissing and carrying on too.

That one was unusually long and slender it seemed... although in very good shape. Don't recall seeing one like it before either. All the others I have seen were always in a hurry to get out of sight. I stood and watched it while Marianna was getting the camera and going out the back door. It sort of focused on her as if as fascinated as she was before fading into the hedge row. I was surprised that it didn't run immediately! I had seen it cross the road and go up the hedge row before...so I knew it was around. Probably the reason the Blues fire up during the wee hours sometimes. I hear something heavier than a cat go across the roof now and then. They have curved claws and can climb like a cat.

Wow!! I heard that they were sort of a cross between a dog and a cat. The one we caught was hissing like a cat and was reaching with the claws out the cage. Ken took it out and let it go somewhere, but was cool to look at in the meantime!! Yours is 10 x more beautiful though, and that thing stunk!
She does look really interested in Mari. Look at her ears, she is studying her!

Mari says she thinks the camera shutter sound was what caught the interest of the fox. It most definitey does with the hawks and owls and eagles at the bird shows.

That's cool! Interesting how noises that we don't even notice will catch the attention of an animal.
