Baby it's cold outside! Finished priming last evening, mopped the floor, and got furniture moved around -- ta-da! Today it's the kitchen. But for now, it's coffee, biscotti, and bird watching by the woodstove. Wish I could tell the difference between the male and female Bluejays -- Walt Disney put little blue kerchiefs on the females.

It's kinda hard to tell with em dressed in feathers... but the females are the most vocal!

Morning all! Sandra, do you make your own biscotti? A friend of mine made some and it was awesome!! She used cranberrys and white chocolate. Also did some with hazlenuts and white chocolate bits. She sent me the recepie, but it says you have to have an electric knife to cut it and I don't have one.
WOW!! You guys are gettin cold!! It's 47 here this morning and calling for 60 by the end of the day. I thouht it was supposed to be colder, but not supposed to drop below 40 all week. Looks like the rain is gone for a little while as well.

Thanks Johnny Angi, I make my own biscotti, but don't need an electric knife to cut them. Why would one need an electric knife? I don't get it?

I don't know, that is just what the recepie called for.

I think I'd just use a carpet knife or a box cutter!

I just use a bread knife...biscotti, as I know it, is a quick bread -- baking powder is the leavening agent.

Good Luck with the recipe. If you need an electric knife, a carpet knife, or a box cutter let me know.
