man Ike I seena big ole brute this week on my way to work, was about 2:45 in the afternoon and I seen him come up on the high way, I knew he was a big one, was bout a mile or so up the road, I put the hammer down and got up very close to him, he sat in the road ditch and just looked at me, he was very big, the kind dreams are made of, I would give him a fall dress weight of 400 to 500 pounds, sure wish I would have had a truck full of honds with me, or atleast a camera lol I watched him seemed like a minute or so, the rut is on here now this time of the year they are breeding here, I figure the reason he was where he was at that time of day, try and get the camera in the car this week lol coarse ill never see any thing to take a pic of once its in the car lol Y'all have a great weekend whats left of it...

What fun whitedog! I sure wish you had a box full of hounds when that happened as well, darn the luck. Hopefully you'll get another chance with the camera....but you'll be luckiers than I if you do ha. Bear is closed here for another month but lion runs yearlong. I've been out some but have been careful and tried to stay off bears, a tough prospect this time of year. My Ryan and Rowen dogs are getting old, and will reach their tenth birthday soon. Ryan has a bad hip and I retired him from the pursuit game a couple weeks ago. Hopefully, I'll pack him along and walk him into the tree from time to time.........but his days of pushing mean bears up the tree and over miles of rough terrian are over which is sad. I might one day have a better bear dog than him, but it'll never be the same for sure. keep'em treed, ike
