Hello VC...did a little recon this morning. Most any cat activity would have been covered with snow that fell off and on through the night, but I still felt the need to go look. Saw plenty of coyote tracks. Deer are moving a lot, too. It's snowing again tonight. Typical western U.P. December weather.

Ive been keeping an eye open for tracks, i found one behind the cabin and a few where i been deer hunting all in my range that i cat hunt, Miyote found a track this weekend by his cabin its on the western edge of my cat range and that just happens to be where all the wolves are hanging out at this time, we only got bout 4 inches over night and it had most tracks from last night covered up this morning, i will be scouting again tomorrow and will most likely clean the box of my truck out and put the dog box on, to many deer hunts muzzle hunting yet for me to run, but i will be at it next week, I think i am going to crack down on the yotes around the house with these young dogs and hank and rowdy and Xena will get the job of running cats.
rwh in the back of my mind i have a trip to baraga planed to cat hunt, maybe we could hook up for a morning and see if we can smack one over your way, wont be over that way till i have my pot lickers in better shape lol have a great day.

Hi VC...we didn't get hammered as bad as you. With 2 feet of snow I imagine it'll take awhile for the game to start moving good over in your country. Guess I'll just hold off until muzzle loader season closes (Dec.11) and the deer hunters move out.
