My redbone female,Pickles,is seven years old and looks like I might have to retrain her.Its been so long since she has gotten to go hunting she probably has forgotten all she once knew.Just as things calmed down a little and the weather finally brought us some good rain and the hunting began to pick up,I started to load her up the other night for her first hunt in about two months and noticed she was just beginning to come in season.Unloaded her and put her back in the kennel and went without a dog of my own to hunt. Oh well at least she will only be in for three weeks instead of fifty two like most males are. ;D

I live in the Central part in a little town named Goldthwaite. Since I posted this topic my female Pickles has died at the age of eight.Left me without any coonhounds and due to health reasons I may not get another one as I don't think I have it in me to train another one. I do have five beagles that I run several times a week and that keeps me busy.

Pappy I am sorry to hear about your hound. I know you will miss her. You may as well start another one.
