I dont like the collars, they dont handle up to extreme hard hunting, prolly be allright for light use, but they only if lucky last a year, get johnsons they seem to handle hard hunting, they are the best (johnson) for durability. some might track a hair farther but for the cost the extra half mile or so dont mean much if the collar quits on yeah, thats how I feel, I gave up trying diffrent collars bout 4 or 5 years ago, it was just a waste of money and time, all you will find in my truck and on my dogs are johnsons, if your not going to walk in the woods much most any box will do you, like the wildlife 1000 or 2000 if you need to track that many dogs or the qt6000 or what ever they are selling now days, but i have found that the wildlife tracks the farthest, but I need the maxima for walking, i am going to put my wildlife back in my truck for a roof mount for rain days lol a roof mount is all so great for when the dogs get close to a high way, you can do goggle searches for tracking boxes and read up on them all and then ask question, have a great day...

The wildlife TRX-3 I have is a disposable battery model. Uses AAA batteries you can buy anywhere. Good batteries will last a couple of years with a lot of hunting.
My collars are Wildlife model 3190 disposable battery. I do not pay extra for tree switches. The batteries will last a couple of years hunting a lot. These batteries are about $10 each. Uses one battery. Those batteries are not as common. I buy mine from Wick. The collars hold up well here. It's mud, water, cutover, briars and brush. They will take a beating. I have had to replace a couple of antennas.
