you ever breed to any of your cold nose stuff you have.i am going to look for a pup out of some real good cold nose stuff somebdy has i dont have a female right now so have to look somewhere else.if you have a good female and are looking to breed her that new dog i got from vargy is papered pretty well and is a real good all round dog, only thing i can find wrong with him is he is a little gun shy which isnt in his breeding he has just not been shot around enough but he has an excellent nose and a great voice.he is pretty big for a running dog as well, has a real deep chest.not sure if you are ever looking to do this or if you do it yourself but i need to look towards the future since he is 9 and i dont no how long he will be around i want to get something to run with him that will follow him and learn.the ones i have now are both 5 and they think they no way to much to follow another dog around so they arent running that good together unless conditions are perfect then they all fly but usually newt comes out on top at the end and the others are still trying to get something going on there own while newt is still running one.just let me no.Darrell

I have not raised any pups out of my cold tracking female, but have been thinking that I should as she is coming 9 in July and she is all coyote hound, if a coyote is in a section she will find it and run it till you catch her off. She use to fight hard but has got too old for that I guess, or got hurt too many times, now she would rather just give a few nipps and alot of moral support! I am seriously considering breeding her to my male that is also a good cold tracker that jumps alot of game. I told myself a few years ago that I was not going to raise anymore pups as its cheaper to buy a young started hound, but I hate to see this blood lost as cold trackers seem to be getting far and few between. Both hounds are Sheridan bred, going back to Sheridan's Red Rufus. If I make the cross and the old gal has any milk, I want to keep two pups, if she has an extra female after that I could bring it up to you so you could breed your male to her in the future.

She came in heat, bred her on the 20th of April, hopefully will have a pup for you around the middle of August if you still need one at that time.
