we went to the pen and ran yesterday and had some good running.didnt get to see many crossings with as thick as it was.most all the dogs ran for about 7 hours non stop they constantly had races going and was about an inch from catching a big blonde multiple times,he just couldnt shake the dogs.the 2 older dogs were gone the whole time but they werent where we were standing very much think they stayed in the back of the pen more.dropped the 3 pups and the one with the white tick on the back of her head went right in and was gone for about 1/2 hour and the other 2 stayed around my feet playing for about 1/2 hour then about the time she came back the other 2 went out and were gone for awhile.the bigger dog came back after about an hour and played with the white ticked one for a bit and they would go off and come back and go off and come back.i think they would each do better with out the other sisters there.they alled showed signs like they wanted to so i think they will all be ok.the white foot female she stayed out after she left us and didnt come back till the group she was running with came back which was about 5 1/2 hours and we think we even heard her in the screaming a little bit.a group came by close but never crossed so we couldnt see them but there was a dog in there just a squealong and both me and dj had no idead what dog that was so we think it was her.dj had a few dogs he wasnt sure about of his own that did a real nice job in there and were on most of the crossings pounding right behind the coyote so they all did good.i was on the other site talking with tomcat last night about them and he asked to see there papers so i showed him on there and he said he has had a few dogs out of them same blood lines, mainly that sheridans diceman but he said every one out of them lines he had made outstanding hounds for him.said they were all real good nose long hour dogs.just figured i would let you no how the running went.i am taking a few dogs to run in june down to vargys so i will be hitting the pen a few times between now and then to keep them in shape,if you ever want to ride along or maybe i could make a day and bring some dogs over and run at that pen you told me about i would love to have you come and watch them work.you are more than welcome anytime.if you wanted to actually see them then that pen by you would be alot better though.this pen here is outstanding for the dogs and great real world experience for them but its so big and thinck you just dont get to see alot of action unless you have 100 dogs in there.talk to you later.
