hey john thanks for the pictures of the good wolf!!! Ive heard they are planning on takeing a few out, wish they would open a controlled hunt on them like the bear and turkey tags, I am working out of town so I am gone all week, I just heard tonight that a wolf was spotted on the city limits of home town here, may be that will wake up some of the wolf lovers on this end, now that they have moved into town.
John keep us posted on the wolf controol when you have time.
rwh yoopersportsman is on your end, I think he is some where close to watersmeat or there about some where close, Y'all have a great day...

No problem guy's...The collared wolf is also No More! It was taken out last week as it was running around the cows at the farm. That makes 4...The Mi. DNR doesn't even know that the USDA is killing the wolves off...Well, they may know now, but they didn't last month. Total for the West End is 5, with hopefully more coming! I know in Gogebic Co. alone they could kill off 40 and not even hurt the packs. I'm here in Bessemer rwh...And the farm is near Ewen. Wisconsin's Wolf hugger's are already trying to apeal the right to kill off 46 wolves this year by the USDA.

Hey Yoopersportsman...thanks for keeping us updated. Geeze we're almost neighbors. I'm in Ontonagon. Sounds like wolflovers have gone too far pushing their agenda of uncontrolled wolf management. Consensus around here seems to have shifted to where tolerance is wearing awfully thin.

Yep, Nancy Warren is the top wolf lover around here. I imagine you've heard of her? I'm off to camp the rest of this week in Matchwood...Putting out more coyute set's. I got 2 new trail cams that I want to set up by my most active sets too...Might have some nice pic's soon.

Yoopersportsman, seems like Nancy Warren and her husband are the most vocal wolf activists in the region. Don't believe they're having any luck swaying public opinion these days. No wolf activists in Matchwood area are there? Many years ago, during times the mine was shut-down with strikes and lay-offs a friend and I would hunt rabbits most every day down around Big Bear Rd., Matchwood Tower Rd., etc. The country around there sure has changed since those days. No where near the rabbits there used to be either.

Sissysmom...I believe there was some discussion on another hounddoggers site detailing the bear dogs killed in Idaho. Imagine some of the folks on this site have not heard about it. Hope you get a chance to post it here.
